About This Spot

Stepping into Millies Burgers in Salt Lake City feels like slipping into a cherished neighborhood favorite — comfortable, familiar, and quietly welcoming. The pace here is unhurried, inviting you to settle in and savor moments rather than rush through a meal. Between the classic menu boards and the simple, yet genuine, chatter of staff and patrons, there’s a sense of timelessness that recalls good old-fashioned diners where everyone feels like a regular.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual and personal. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over a hand-cut fries and a peanut butter shake, the space encourages connection: both with the food in front of you and the friendly folks behind the counter. There’s warmth in the way orders are taken patiently and served promptly — a reassuring rhythm that feels truly local in character.

Food here mirrors that comforting vibe. Expect burgers with just enough indulgence, fries cooked to a perfect crisp, and shakes that carry a nostalgic touch — each bite and sip unfolding like a small celebration of home-style American flavors. The boldness of a jalapeño-topped burger or the satisfying crunch of fried mushrooms shows a genuine love for crafting moments of simple pleasure. The familiar tastes never feel rushed or contrived, but carefully coaxed out to feel like a quiet reward after a day’s hustle.

Millies is not about flashy presentation or culinary theatrics; instead, it’s a space that values the little details — the tang of a well-made fry sauce, the smoky edge of well-grilled bacon, the generous texture of a double cheeseburger. It’s in these small, thoughtful touches that the restaurant’s true charm lies, making it easy to understand why so many come back, drawn by more than just the menu.

This is an easiness that locals appreciate — a spot where conversations flow naturally, staff know your name or at least your favorite order, and the vibe sits comfortably somewhere between classic and laid-back. Millies Burgers offers a distinctly Salt Lake City kind of hospitality: unpretentious, genuine, and quietly satisfying.

Walking in for the first time, I knew the food was going to be good when they still use the old-school menu boards. I had a double cheeseburger, fried mushrooms and a Heath shake. The burger was ok, a lot more sauce than I expected but the overall burger was tasty and just enough grease. The mushrooms were the HERO of this meal, so good, hot, crispy, large, and an amazing breading seasoned to perfection. I knew when they asked if I wanted a lid for my shake this thing would be a monster. I didn't even get a picture of it I was too busy eating it before the tower of ice-cream fell over the edges. It was great, can't wait to go back for the Garlic burger next time. Staff was super friendly and felt like I was in some rural small town.

I love places like this, they feel so much more personable. The staff was very patient with us and was just very friendly overall. We ordered the garlic burger and a double cheeseburger. Pictured is only the double cheese and fries though. Gotta say, this double cheese certainly tastes super delicious. Very juicy and while presentation isn't exactly incredible, a bite from this burger just makes you feel like you made the right call. It was made to perfection. The fries are pretty solid, they remind me of In N Out fries, but much better. The experience was just very nice, and the burger impressed me more than what Crown Burger has to offer. I'll be coming back to try a different one sometime soon. Oh, and how could I forget...the milkshake. Had an Oreo milkshake and well, whoa. That was a damn good shake, I'd go just to have this! 10/10, would highly recommend!

We love mom and pop hamburger places and Millies didn't disappoint. As soon as we walked up to the building I could smell their fish. When we went inside I asked the lady helping us about the fish and she said, it's so good. She wasn't wrong. I got the 3 pc cod and fries and it was excellent. The fry sauce and the tarter sauce were delicious as well. Love the homemade fries, cooked to perfection. My son got a hamburger and it was excellent as well. We live about an hour from Millies and we will def make the hour drive back to get more delicious food.

This looks like a classic establishment in salt lake City. I got the bacon hamburger with cheese and fries. The burger was very juicy. The staff was very nice and they brought out the order with your number. The burger was tasty and the bacon was grief well and not thin. The fries were crispy and good and I enjoyed the meal. The wait was very short and the outdoor and indoor seating was very adequate for the vibe. Unfortunately there was a lot of construction going on so I hope they finish that soon so the locals can enjoy the food there without loud noises.

BURGERS!!! This place was awesome. I had the jalapeño burger and my daughter had the chicken nuggets and we devoured them both. The price was great. We enjoyed sitting out side and the helping were very adequate. I HIGHLY recommend. Will be going back for sure.
